A look back at the 2025/2026 school year
The school year is now behind us. Some of our team are already enjoying a well-deserved holiday, some are running summer day camps, and others are tidying up, summarizing, and planning the next school year and the projects that will begin in September. It is a good moment to share what we achieved over the past year.
Workshops indoors and outdoors
In the 2025/2026 school year, we ran 765 workshops. Of these, 200 took place in our educational centre, 403 in schools and other institutions, and 136 outdoors.
Most of our workshops were held in the Łódzkie region: 501 in total, including 364 in the city of Łódź; and in Wielkopolska, where we ran 249 workshops. But we also worked with groups in Silesia, Mazovia, and even in the Warmińsko-Mazurskie region in north-eastern Poland.
We delivered 530 workshops for primary school pupils, 99 for secondary school students, and 89 for preschool children. We also worked with special education centres, special schools, community centres, libraries, and universities of the third age. Altogether, 14,601 people took part in our workshops.
During the school year, we spent 380 clock hours running outdoor workshops. We most often worked in the green areas of Łódź: in Zdrowie Park, Julianowski Park, and Łagiewniki Forest. Our workshop room at Zielona 27 was visited by 3,936 students.
The most frequently chosen workshop topics included:
- Introduction to climate change: 80 workshops
- Biodiversity: 82 workshops
- A global breakfast: 65 workshops
- The blue planet: a workshop about water: 66 workshops
Other popular topics included workshops about wolves, hedgehogs, wildlife, bees, plants, and the ways geography shapes people’s lives.
We are especially happy to see growing interest in climate change and topics related to global education.
Bardzo Zielone Szkoły — Green School Trips
In the 2025/2026 school year, we organized 23 Bardzo Zielone Szkoły — green school trips for 37 classes from across Poland.
The classes spent a total of 138 days learning outdoors: by the sea, in the mountains, by lakes, and in forests.
A total of 699 students and 87 teachers took part in these trips. Fourteen educators delivered 1,100 lesson hours during Bardzo Zielone Szkoły.
Training courses
In the 2025/2026 school year, we ran 56 training courses for teachers, librarians, and educators.
Climate change was the leading theme in 24 of these courses, and it was also present in another 23. In total, we delivered 203 hours of training in nine Polish regions. We visited Lower Silesia 9 times, Wielkopolska 20 times, and Silesia 3 times. We also trained participants in the Łódzkie, Mazowieckie, Warmińsko-Mazurskie, Kujawsko-Pomorskie, and Świętokrzyskie regions.
Altogether, 902 people took part in our training courses. The courses were led by 13 trainers.
Educational materials
This year, we reprinted the kamishibai story The Tale of the Black Dragon and developed three new sets of educational scenarios:
- Energy transition: meaning and solutions, published by the BOŚ Foundation
- The importance of green areas in adapting to the impacts of climate change, published by the BOŚ Foundation
- I don’t waste food and I buy it at the market, published by the Buy Responsibly Foundation

Thank you
We would like to thank everyone we met during our workshops and training courses, and above all, our wonderful educators.
You made this happen. You helped children discover nature and fall in love with it. You helped them understand the interdependence of the world around us and how climate change works. You opened eyes, raised awareness, and encouraged people to get involved.
We are also grateful for the support and cooperation of:
as well as:
Without you, all of this would not have been possible either.
